AimAndCrouchToggles
A BepInEx mod for Mycopunk that adds optional toggle aim and toggle crouch.
Features
- Toggle Aim: Press aim once to enter ADS, press again to exit — no need to hold. Weapons with aiming disabled (
IsAimEnabled false), such as Gunship Cannon, Plate Launcher, and Carver, are left alone. Toggle aim resets on
death/resurrect.
- Toggle Crouch: Press the slide/crouch button to stay crouched until you press it again. Sliding still works as
normal when you have momentum.
Both features are on by default and can be enabled or disabled independently in the config.
Getting Started
Dependencies
- Mycopunk (base game)
- BepInEx 5.4.2403 or compatible (e.g. BepInExPack for Mycopunk)
Building
- Clone this repository
- Open the solution in Visual Studio, Rider, or your preferred C# IDE
- Build in Release mode to produce the plugin DLL
Alternatively, with the.NET CLI:
dotnet build --configuration Release
The project targets netstandard2.1. Game and BepInEx assembly reference paths in the.csproj may need adjusting for
your machine.
Installing (recommended)
- Install with a mod manager
- The mod is placed in the correct BepInEx plugins folder automatically
Manual installation
- Place AimAndCrouchToggles.dll in /BepInEx/plugins/
Usage
The mod loads automatically through BepInEx when the game starts. Check the BepInEx console for a load confirmation
message.
Configuration
Settings live in:
/BepInEx/config/sparroh.aimandcrouchtoggles.cfg
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---------------|---------|-----------------------------------------------------------|
| Toggle Aim | true | Aim becomes press-to-toggle instead of hold |
| Toggle Crouch | true | Crouch stays engaged until toggled off (via slide button) |
Config changes are hot-reloaded while the game is running — save the.cfg file and the mod applies the new values
automatically (look for Config reloaded from disk. in the BepInEx log).
Help
- Mod not loading? Verify BepInEx is installed correctly and check console logs for errors.
- Toggle not working? Confirm the setting is enabled in the config file; save the file to hot-reload without
restarting.
- Aim stuck on? Toggle aim resets on death/resurrect; you can also disable the setting to force-clear it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
