Here are the base troop IDs:
roma_cohors
roma_funditores
roma_numberoi
roma_scholae_gentiles
roma_foederati
roma_equites
roma_dromedarii
roma_antesignani
- Turn on the cheat mode, click alt + ~ to open the arrow in the game, and then enter "campaign.give_troops troop id number"
id:

- Download ATC-Adonnay’s Troop Changer and enable both Mods when starting the game. The mod has ATCmodconfig built in, so when used it will spawn Roman armies from the empires that empire has occupied (all 3). It's best to start a new game so you can see the new units at the beginning of the game. However, there is no problem even with old saves, but you will need to wait a few days in the game (by which time all original Imperial troops will have been refreshed with new Roman troops).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
