Red/Blue Improvements to Yael's Modmerger Minimods Arena
A collection of independent modmerger (mini) mods aimed at casual mods who want to spice up existing mods with modmerger mods. Most notable are improvements for players with red/blue color blindness in Arena.
Manage the companion device as a table, make cattle follow you, disable unwanted quests, improve color blindness in tournaments, customize tournament and arena rewards, sell tavern prisoners as well as some items.
Mods can be added independently.
Change log
The yael_eqmgr MOD was added on June 9, 2018. This is by far the most complex part.
2017-11-19.3 Fixed bug in yael_ransomtavern which caused prisoners to be sold at the kitchen slaver's 50 denier rate. The topic is suitable for conversation, but it is not intended ~\ツ/~.
2017-11-19.2 yael_tournamentrewards results in empty betting menu when trying to bet money in the 5-9 denars range. This should be fixed now.
2017-11-19.1 Fixed a bug in yael_colorblind1 that caused doors to lead to wrong places in towns.

Module and file list
yael_core. Defines some resources shared across sub-schemas.
yael_eqmgr. Added table device manager to camp menu.
In the Device Manager view, a table showing all companion and player devices and the player's inventory.
Hovering over an item displays a tooltip, requires and highlights companion ads that can't equip it.
Click an item to select it. Click on another slot to swap them. (Drag and drop is not possible.)
Right-click on any slot to deselect the current slot.
Additionally, the second page provides a tabular overview of supporting skills to support planning for upgrades.
yael_colorblind1. Team missions are rigged in tournaments to ensure players and enemy teams are never red/green - something that would be difficult to tell in a dusk or dawn match for the 10% of male players affected by red-green color blindness.
When four teams are fighting, make sure the player is yellow or blue. Although yellow is also affected by red-green color blindness, its higher relative brightness still makes it clear enough.
I'm not entirely sure if that last statement applies to people with stronger color blindness (I can tell red from green, it's just harder), so if you can't tell the yellow from the red vs. green team, please let me know.
yael_colorblind2. Previous conflicts with mods that made significant changes to matches (specifically the script for the "Join next match" menu entry). As an alternative, this mod switches the green tournament outfit for the white suit, which is not used in the vanilla game. This avoids the green and red settings, which are simultaneously most difficult for red-green color blind people to distinguish.
This mod should be compatible with almost any mod, unless another mod uses the white tournament outfit.
yael_cattlefollow. In the cow's menu you can choose to have the cow follow you instead of running away from you. Not like herding, but more convenient if you don't like herding tasks.
yael_disablequests. Disable some random quests given by lords and villagers. What tasks exactly are disabled, is defined by the variable DISABLED_QUEST_IDS in yael_disablequests_dialogs.py.
You may wish to customize this variable before enabling this mod. In order to find the ID this mod works for, search module_dialogs.py for the string
(eq,“$ random_quest_no”,<ID HERE>),
The mod works by removing the dialog boxes that have it as the first item in the conditional block.
yael_tournamentrewards. Allowed bets have been doubled, making it easier to make money from tournaments.
Naive implementation, simply replace tournament_n …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
