About this mod Machine translation

Witcher 2 Style Heavy Plate Witcher 2 Armor

This is a mesh and texture edit of a Skyrim port of L0rdOfWar's superb Skyrim 2 Heavy Plate Armor, ported again by myself into Mount & Blade Warband, including the LOD and two armor sets - one with mail collar, the other with padded collar - all in the same brf file.

I didn't include the Dawnguard version because it looks a bit out of place in Warband and the helmet is an official Bethesda asset and can't be included anyway, but the generic Witcher 2 plate armor torso should be fine and it fits the vanilla M&B iron boots and flat-top helm with top plates.

The armor itself looks much better when used with the items from the 15th Century Plate Armor pack I posted a few years ago, which you can find at the following link:

Or a selection of items from Narf of Picklestink’s excellent Men at Arms v2.0 pack, which you can also find via the following link:

Again, this is for public release so feel free to use these meshes and textures in your own mods and make any changes you feel necessary to fit the specific theme of your mod, just remember to give L0rdOfWar and myself (Baraban) a credit card if you plan on using anything we release to the community - yes! Mod author of 'New Dawn' and 'Nova Aetas' I'm looking at you! ;)

This is completely free so please don't try to send me any donations or other such nonsense, I'm a hobbyist and do this for fun in my spare time.

A huge thank you to CD Projekt Red, the creators of the Witcher 2 game, and for making their meshes available to the public; especially L0rdOfWar for his excellent work porting the base meshes and textures into Skyrim... His work can be found at the following link: -

And thank you for all the good feedback and advice I've gotten from community members over the next few years.

Many thanks to CD Projekt Red who are the creators of the Witcher 2 game and for making their meshes available for the public to use; and especially to L0rdOfWar for his excellent work in porting over the base meshes and textures into Skyrim..... His work can be found here via the link below:-

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
