Warsword submod 1.01 rebalanced
Rebalance submod:
Rebalanced firearms, the rifle is better than the smoothbore cannon, the damage is reduced, and the accuracy is improved. Pistol visible. The Tunnel Fighter now has dual-barreled pistols, and the odd 8-barrel gun is made into this Dwarf blunderbuss which shoots shrapnel like a cannon, but is weaker.
Imperial, Chaos, Breton, Orc, Tall and Dark Elf troop trees, changes to unit stats and inventory rebalancing, high end troops are harder to train and harder to kill. Chaos Berserker now rises to Bloodletter (with a Hellblade), then Khorne Harbinger, riding a Juggernaut (now just an enlarged Khorne warhorse).
Some new troops such as Master Engineer, Horn's Choice and Thunder Master. Brettonian Paladin renamed Grail Knight, now installed. Grail Knights are trainable, extremely expensive and deadly, armed with magical blessed swords. High-level Elf Lion Riding Nobles can also be trained. Trolls become tough and can actually kill things.
Some changes to patrols.
Not save game compatible.
There's still plenty of room for improvement, so feedback and special ideas are welcome.
Installation: Place the 'Warsword Conquest' folder into the 'modules' folder, overwriting when asked.
To add even more immersion, I highly recommend these mods: Calradia in the Dark (delzarosmodding.robhost.nl/polishedlandscapes.html) and Flying Missile Pack (
I'm currently trying to integrate the Cries of War soundpack, with little success so far.
If anyone knows how to do this without resorting to the module system, please contact me.
Rebalance submod:
Rebalanced firearms, rifles better that smoothbore muskets, damage lowered, accuracy increased somewhat. Made pistols visible. Tunnel fighter now has double shot pistol, strange 8barrel gun was made into this Hochland long rifle( is also present. Dwarves now have their own high quality cartridge, Dwarf Engineers have cannon ammo for 10 shots. Chaos Dwarf blunderbuss shoots shrapnel like cannon, but weaker.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
