Warband Enhanced

Warband Enhanced

Warband Enhanced is my first attempt at improving the gameplay of Warband Native with the best mods this community has ever made and new features and gameplay tweaks I've implemented. At first I started using the mod for myself personally, then I dug into the mod files and started playing the game and thinking about releasing it publicly.

Requires official Warband client 1.143: http://download.taleworlds.com/mb_warband_setup_1143.exe

How to install:

  • Extract the Warband Enhanced folder to your modules directory. Go to the WSE folder in the Warband Enhanced directory, start wse_loader.exe, select Warband Enhanced from the list and play.
  • Recommended battle size: 200-300 (use battle size Warband Changer to do this) Link: http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php? id = 1761
  • MOD Options for PBOD: CAMP > PBOD Mod Preferences - MOD Options for Diplomacy: CAMP > Diplomacy Preferences

Diplomacy is my favorite mod for war. I literally can't play the game without it, and honestly, no one should. It gives you clear statistics about your relationship with your lords and their relationship with the king. Most importantly, it helps you manage your castle, fief or kingdom easily with the help of advisors and wives. Read more:

Prewar Orders and Deployments is my second favorite mod for warband. It simply fixes fighting with AI Lords thanks to the addition of formations and improved combat AI. With this comes special formations for player teams, as well as new add-ons like spear supports, carbine repairs and more goodies, companions and bodyguards to name a few. Currently, charging is on by default, the camera has no mouse movement, and you have to use the numpad to look around being eliminated. Fixed in v0.3

The Freelancer is a great little mod that lets you enter a lord's army on your own, rise through the ranks from recruitment to knights (based on the faction troop tree), and gain good loot from combat, money, and relationships with factions and lords. Read more: http:

//forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,182848.0.html Supplements and fixes for local freelancers:

  • You don't lose progress when you and the lord are defeated. The mission starts and gives you 20 days to return/rescue your lord, with progress saved as you complete the mission.
  • 14 days off now works properly
  • Color-coded information on important matters
  • If you serve with a lord for 90 days or more, you can keep the last equipment you received.

Improved recruitment system and upgrade prices:

  • There is now a new recruitment system. As a lord without a faction, you can only recruit peasants who belong to your mercenary ranks. When you join a faction after 3 days, you can recruit faction troops from villages, but from other factions you can only recruit peasants. Each new village you conquer has your faction's troops instead of the old faction's troops.
  • To balance the game, the upgrade price per unit has been increased 4x in some cases. Fortunately, a visual troop tree is already in place, with upgrade prices letting you decide what to upgrade and when: Report > View Troop Tree
  • Your first step as the king of your newfound kingdom is to choose a culture. You do this by hiring and talking about the Chancellor, Domestic Policy > Culture of the Kingdom.

If you recruit companions from different nations and make them lords, you will have your starting faction listed in the list. These companions must be nobles:

Alayen - Virginia

Baheshtur- Khergit

Firentis- Swadia

Matheld- North

Rolf-Sarranid

After selecting a culture, reinforcements from lords, villages and kingdoms will be directed towards that culture. Some will come immediately like reinforcements, in villages it will take 1-3 days, and in …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
