Voice Commands Voice Commands

Speak your orders out loud and make your troops actually do it!

Hello! This is what it sounds like: voice commands for Warband and Napoleonic Wars! A friend of mine requested this, and after trying multiple other voice command mods, I decided to make my own! Now you can enjoy commanding your troops without pressing any keys.

illustrate:

  • Install .net framework 1.1 (click on it; its link)
  • Unzip VoiceCommands.rar somewhere
  • Inside, go to the "SR" folder.
  • Run Setup.exe as administrator.
  • Open the "Shoot" folder and open shoot.exe
  • Click on File -> Open and go to the folder Profiles (WhereYouUnzippedIt/VoiceCommands/Shoot/Profiles)
  • Open Napoleonic Wars (MaB_NP) or Warband (MaB_WB)
  • Now, when you hold down the tilda key (~/`), you can say a command.

Tips/Troubleshooting:

•Try to practice shooting with just yourself open first. (No MaB) Make sure the X at the top of the microphone disappears when you hold down Tilda. When you say a command to open fire, it may say "too loud, speak softer". Follow these tips and it should work.

•Don't shout or use exaggerated accents. (Read point 3 if you like.)

•Try downloading different versions of .net.

•If you want to drastically improve speech recognition, then you should train speech recognition. (After I did this, it made me scream and use accents.) To do this, open Control Panel and search for "speech recognition." On Speech Recognition, you should see "Train your computer to understand you better." Click the button and follow the instructions.

If the PiLfluS version of MuSHr00mpiCKl3s doesn't work, try this! PiLfluS didn't work for me, so I made my own!

Say your orders out loud, and have your army actually do them!

Hello! This is what it sounds like: voice commands for both Warband and Napoleonic Wars! My friend requested this, and after trying multiple other voice command mods which didn't work, I decided to make my own! Now, you can have fun commanding your troops around without having to press any keys.

Instructions:

  • Install.net framework 1.1 (Click it; its a link)
  • Unzip VoiceCommands.rar somewhere
  • Inside it, go to the "SR" folder.
  • Run Setup.exe as an administrator.
  • Open "Shoot" folder and open shoot.exe
  • Click File --> Open and go to the folder profiles (WhereYouUnzippedIt/VoiceCommands/Shoot/Profiles)
  • Open Napoleonic Wars (MaB_NP) or Warband (MaB_WB)
  • Now, when you hold down the tilda key (~/`) you may speak an order.

Tips/Troubleshooting:

  • Try to practice first with just Shoot by itself open. (With no MaB) Make sure when you hold tilda down, the X on top of the microphone goes away. When you say a command with Shoot open, it might say a note like "Too loud, speak softer." Follow those tips and it should work.
  • Don't yell or use exaggerated accents. (If you wish to, read bullet point 3.)
  • Try also downloading a different version of.net.
  • If you want to drastically improve the speech recognition, then you should train the voice recognition. (After I did this, it let me yell and use accents.) To do this, open control panel and search for "Speech Recognition." At speech recognition, you should see "Train your computer to better understand you." Click that, and follow the instructions.

If MuSHr00mpiCKl3s's PiLfluS version of this didn't work, try this one! PiLfluS didn't work for me, so I made my own!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
