Virake's Male and Female Face Replacer Compilation Replace male and female faces
What's this:
This is a combination of mods that greatly improves the faces of all characters, especially the females.
Features:
Merge Iboltax's male face replacer with Adeline and Waswar's female face replacer.
Women's new vibrant eye texture
New facial textures for men. (from other authors)
Changed to a vanilla female hair.
Reply male ponytail hair back vanilla.
Switch the female ponytail hair to the male version.
Clean and reorganize BRF files.
Require:
Native Mount & Blade: Warband, v1.170 (reportedly works on other versions too)
Floris Mod Pack v2.55e version available
Install:
Unzip the archive into the module's folder (usually "Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\Native")
Overwrite existing files.
Alternatively, I recommend doing this:
Copy Native module
rename it
Install the mod into your copy
That way, if something goes wrong, you'll always be able to recover.
Warning: Female characters created with this mod will appear distorted in other people's multiplayer games (if they don't have this or the original Adeline and Waswar's mods). To avoid this, follow the detailed instructions here.

Note: If the following instructions don't work for you, or you encounter errors or other problems - please do not ask me for help. I won't explain how to make it work with other mods because I would have to dig deep into the files and relearn everything related to Mount & Blade modding. You might as well do it yourself - it will be just as effective, if not more so. If you don't want to go through trial and error (my way), check out the TaleWorlds forums, there are some guides and tutorials that might help you. But don't expect anyone to give you a simple solution...when it comes to modding this game, *everything* is more complicated than it should be.
To install this replacement into a non-native module, extract everything as usual but do not overwrite "module.ini". Instead, open this file (the module's folder) with any text editor, find the section of each line that begins with "load_resource" (which may also contain "load_mod_resource" or "load_module_resource"), and add the following lines to the top:
load_mod_resource = char_common
load_mod_resource = char_man_beard
load_mod_resource = char_man_hair
load_mod_resource = char_man_face
load_mod_resource = char_woman_hair
load_mod_resource = char_woman_face Next, delete each of the following lines:
load_resource = textures_face_gen
load_resource = materials_face_gen
load_resource = meshes_face_gen
load_resource =
beards load_resource = hair Finally, make sure that other BRF files specified in "module.ini" do not contain mesh or texture references with the same names as those in my mod. If conflicts exist, you may experience severe graphics glitches. In this case, use OpenBRF to open the BRF file, check for conflicts and delete the conflicting entries.
A little history:
Iboltax's mod is currently the only one I know of that makes men look less than respectable in Warband. Broken_one and Barf's female face replacement was also the only thing available for the longest time, and while I wouldn't say it looked ugly (miles better than vanilla!), it gave women a high forehead. You can only imagine how ecstatic I was to discover Adeline and Waswar's mod, which not only looks better than before, but also fixes the forehead. Unfortunately, no one seemed willing to combine it with Iboltax's mod, so I decided to do it myself. I did this almost entirely through trial and error (and some logical thinking) since I had no idea how to modify Warband.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
