*This is not a fully playable mod. It should be of interest to those interested in the potential of modular systems. *
This is a work-in-progress version of a hemisphere-sized provincial game set set in the 8th century. It won't work very well now, mainly because provinces marked with an asterisk have no population. However, feel free to play with it. You can learn how the design works by looking at the party and province notes, or by reading the game information files. I used some of Barf's Nordic items, but most games use Native textures and brfs. However, it is a very complete rework of the module files.
I didn't post any screenshots because visually there's nothing special about it. The fun stuff is all going on under the hood.

This is an in-progress version of a hemisphere-sized province-scaled game set in the 8th century. It will not work very well now, largely because the provinces marked with an asterisk have not been given populations. Feel free to play around with it, though. You can get a sense of how the design works by looking at the notes for parties and provinces, or by reading the game info files. I have used a few of Barf's Norse items, but mostly the game uses Native textures and brfs. However, it is a very complete rework of the module files.
I have not posted any screenshots, because visually there is nothing terribly distinctive. The interesting stuff is all going on under the hood.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
