Patch Notes
Domestic Policies - Beyond naming and unit differences, your culture can have its own policies, affecting its primary focus, how it interacts with neighbors, how abandonment is handled, how your culture views slavery, and the cultural unity your units have.
Royal Decrees - Special times call for special measures, and as the ruler you'll be able to enact specific decrees that change the way things are handled within the kingdom, from forced conscription to rebuilding rebuilding efforts.
Garrison Recruiting - Through a unique interface, you can now queue up exactly the type and number of troops you wish to hire for each garrison you own, and fill out those requests based on your restricted budget.
Area Patrols - If you can afford their upkeep, have up to three customizable teams of soldiers patrolling your fiefdom and keeping the bandit numbers down.
Cultural Recruitment - Through your priests, you can change the culture of your kingdom so that each of your villages can provide recruits of your specified culture, and vassals under your control can also use them.
Castle Treasury - As a retained owner, you can designate some of your wealth to be stored locally, which can then be used to pay for garrison recruitment and training costs. You can also set up recurring distributions from your weekly earnings to avoid the need for term deposits.
Prisoner Caravan - As you travel around, you will encounter prisoner caravans heading to the salt mines. These caravans could be searched for their prisoners, as well as for their earnings on their return journey. You can even entrust them as the reserved owner yourself.
Castle Steward - A companion can be assigned to take over the day-to-day management of the keep, handle hosting tournaments, oversee construction projects, and serve as the hub for central tasks.
Advisor (Guard Captain) - Assigning a Guard Captain allows you to set up area patrols and control the recruitment and training of your Guard Garrison.
Unique Auto-Loot System - A unique custom loot system provides extensive control over how your companions upgrade their equipment as needed. You rarely need to manage your companions' devices unless you want to.
Party Role (Shopkeeper) - Assigning a Shopkeeper to your party allows others to manage the purchase, storage and provision of food for your army.
Party Role (Quartermaster) - Designate a companion as your Warehousekeeper, allowing them to take over the process of looting the battlefield, storing it and selling it to available merchants when you visit towns.
Party Role (Jailer) - Instead of relying on the player's prisoner management skills, you can designate a Jailer who will sell your prisoners when you visit a town.
Book Reading - Even assign books to companions to read and carry them for profit.
Companion Abilities - Companions now have three special abilities that help further separate them, utility and usefulness. These are gained at level 5, 12 and 20 and include improving their combat prowess, increasing their utility within the party, increasing their usefulness in a party role or increasing their effectiveness as an advisor. These capabilities are predetermined and cannot be changed.
Import/Export Features - Companions can transfer their attributes, skills, proficiencies and statistics from one save game to another in the same way as players.
Parallel Structure - Up to three improvements can be built in parallel and at a slightly increased speed to maintain balance with the rest of the changes.
Damage and Repairs - Whenever a village is attacked or successfully defended, all improvements have the potential to be damaged. If improvements sustain too much damage without repair, they will be completely destroyed.
AI Scripts - AI lords will also take …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
