1860's Old America Unofficial Map Overhaul1860's Old America Unofficial Map Overhaul
New hotspot fix 1.1 released, fixed inaccessible forts/villages, renamed some typos in towns/forts/villages. Added some life details to the western part of North America, some rivers and elevations to the whole area which is still WIP!!
This is Gabrilduro's unofficial map patch of old America from the 1860's, I'd love to bring this mod back to life, there's been a big complaint on the forums I've seen that the map is inaccurate and clunky, my goal now is to make the map better looking and add more characters, as this is version 1 and still a WIP, it still needs some time to polish, I thought I'd put this mod together and see if I see what people think/want to enjoy it! :d
Installation - Open with WinRAR and drag and drop "1860's Old America" into your mount and blade warband module folder, original 1860's Old America is required!
Version 1, the current changes to the map are, -
View the original map thoroughly
- WIP, removed a lot of the jagged ugly edges from the map, good example is Cuba, before this patch it was very jagged and ugly but now it looks cleaner and neater
-WIP, areas north of the north, added desert and mountain/canyon areas, these are not like the real world, but as an example and tactically placed to create choke points before being able to pass all most rivers in the south (around the Plains Indian faction) Now I have changed it so you can only pass certain points, this will be improved more and more and become more "live like" in future updates
-WIP, redesigned all maps to add more features, added forests, and all North and South America
Future improvements -
Continue adding more strategic landmarks to the map -
Repair towns, cities and fortress locations - Towns
ruins
Renovation Missing Improvement
- There aren't any new scenes at the moment, the towns are still the same, i.e. Boston is now in snow, but there won't be snow if you walk on the scene!
If there is any solution problem PM me and I will help you best me also
Can PM any bugs once you find them I will work on them right away

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
