From Ron:

Realistic combat model Native

This is an adaptation of the "Realistic Combat Model" (originally developed for Onin-no-Ran) native to M&B. This file contains the item_kinds1.txt file and module_items.py source code.

While fully playable, it is intended as a source for mod developers wishing to use the mod. There is no attempt to balance prices, and the results of local game balancing are uncertain.

There may be errors. Lacking a clear historical framework, some values have been improvised from existing prices, weights or in-game usage. ("Scale armor"...what kind of scales? Steel? Iron? Hardened leather? Thick? Thin? Large? Small?...It's cheap, so assume the worst.) Typos are also possible.

This has not been fully tested. It is intended as a programming resource and demonstration for RCM, not what you would call a complete "mod".

It was offered in response to overwhelming popular demand.

Ron Losey (RCM Developer)

I've carefully ported his work to Warband using my best judgment regarding items and features not in the original game, and comments and criticism are appreciated.

Feel free to use it in your mod as that was its original purpose.

Great credit, have fun.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
