Prophesy of Pendor Banners Reimagined Banners
************************
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Users of Pop 3.8.X: Just replacing the std_bannersX.dds file made all my banners work fine for Pop 3.8. So if you have POP 3.8.x or higher just get the .dds files called std_banners.dds and replace them, nothing else needs to be done, previous versions still required .ini adjustments and extra files.

A few years ago I decided to reimagine all Pendor Banners to fit my interpretation of the world and its lore in the Taleworld forums.
This is the original theme: html
I spent several days creating them and have been using them since PoP 3.4, this is a package update for 3.7 which includes a simple installation and for PoP 3.7
The modular Module.ini banners are all PoP specific and I went through the pain of doing it. The banners of each Pendorian culture are unique.
The D Shar will have an appropriate geometric pattern, for example the same as the Ravenstern Lords. In a standard game, Rane and his baron will always sport Thrice Impaled Lion due to the hatred the special lord has against Sarleon.
They also match the Heraldic Surcoats in the game and are matched as closely as possible to human bodies in the graphics engine so that they display correctly in heraldic shields.
Except for the vertical banner 3d model textures are all my work and I would appreciate any help if you use them elsewhere, please trust me :)
Enjoy them!
Install:
- Put module.ini into the module folder
important
I've added a modified module.ini for Pendor 3.706. If you have any other versions or want to use them in a different module do optional steps

How to modify Module.ini
************************************************** *****************************
You have to add the following line to the root folder of your mod
module.ini:load_module_resource = std_banners
load_module_resource = std_banners_default
load_module_resource = std_flags_vertical
If module.ini contains any of these lines, you need to remove or disable them, comment out the line using the # symbol):
load_resource = banners
load_resource = map_flags
load_resource = map_flags_b
load_resource = map_flags_c
load_resource = map_flags_d (Warband only!)
load_module_resource = banners
load_module_resource = map_flags
load_module_resource = map_flags_b
load_module_resource = map_flags_c
load_module_resource = map_flags_d (Warband only!)
load_mod_resource = banners
load_mod_resource = map_flags
load_mod_resource = map_flags_b
load_mod_resource = map_flags_c
load_mod_resource = map_flags_d (Warband only!)
Also make sure this line exists:
scan_module_textures = 1
****
- Continue to place the *.brf file in the resources folder of the module
- Place the *.dds file in the textures folder of the module.
- Profit!

Thanks to Yellowmosquito for providing the vertical banner brf template, 33372.msg859746.html
The modified textures are all my work, the original thread can be found here

IMPORTANT:
Users of Pop 3.8.X: You can get all my banners to work by simply replacing the std_bannersX.dds files in PoP 3.8.X with the ones in my compilation, as newer versiosn of pop have all long banners so no need for the ini. SO IF YOU HAVE POP 3.8.x or higher just grab the.dds files called std_banners.dds and replace them, no need to do anything else, prior versions still need to do the.ini tweak and extra files.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
