Ouroboros Banner and assorted Snakes Snake Shield

Playing Prophecy of Pendor I decided to add a lot of custom banners, specifically my own personal kingdom which I called "The Ouroboros Empire" and decided to label my banners with symbols.

The Ouroboros symbol included in the PoP banner list is a red Ouroboros snake on a black background, I want mine green.

I've included a .dds file for the banner that can be copied and pasted onto any custom banner template you want to create.

Also decided to go all green and snakes, so a few other banners were created, all measured to give the most decent/accurate look on the shield and NPC overhead icons, I hate mismatched banners on shields.

Small and simple work, but I really enjoyed looking at it and love the ancient symbols and I think they would be perfect for Warband mods.

to date:

  • Ouroboros snake from ancient medieval text on green background
  • Ancient Minoan snake goddess on a green background
  • Cernunnos snake sitting on dark brown leather background
  • Ancient Luxor seal on light brown leather background
  • Dee's Heptagram on human bone sliding background
  • Keneph Serpent symbols on dark golden slide background
  • Devil's pentagram on black and ruby background
  • Retro with textured border of snake
  • Man trapped by his vices/demons, medieval engraving with textured wooden border
  • Astrological Powers Medieval Engraving with Textured Rusty Border
  • Medieval book page banner depicting king
  • Medieval carving of basilisk with textured border
  • European snake door handle

All textures are public domain to my knowledge, from medieval texts or stock photos. These were fun to make and I hope you all enjoy them!

Any questions feel free to ask, this is a work in progress and I will update as soon as possible

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
