Multiplayer Map: Lost Fortress (Battle) Multiplayer Map: Lost Fortress

First of all, I'm new to Warband, and even more new to scene production. I do have experience using other world editing tools, though. Now, that doesn't mean I said I did a crap scene. I actually think it's pretty good (so do I of course).

Anyway, Lost Fortress. It's very simple and balanced (in theory).

(Note that while the actual layout and basic look of the map is still the same, the update has changed some things you might see in the pictures, but nothing major.)

Spoilers:

programme

-Red:Boundaries

-Black:Spawn zone

-Yellow:Ideal Cavalry path

-Purple: Small hill and the ideal archer zone. The second area of what could be the final melee.

  • Blue: dense forest. Defending against archers and cavalry, great for the main melee of a game.

-Red: Boundaries

-Black: Spawn zones

-Purple: Small hill and the ideal archer zone. Likely the second area the final melee battles will take place.

-Blue: Dense forest. Protection against archers and cavalry, and fantastic for the main melee battle of a match.

Each location is balanced out by another. If you chose cavalry, you will be able to enjoy all the cav-madness that comes with that in a large open runway. Players vulnerable to cavalry will have the option to take the hill-top (which has a tower on it), or take cover in the forest; both offer protection from the madness. Players aiming to avoid incoming projectiles will fare well in the forest, as it is dense in trees and foliage. Most players will appreciate simplicity and the melee friendly outcome of the finale of the matches that could be played here, while archers and horsemen can still get their kicks as well.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
