About this mod Machine translation

Mount and Blade Warband - Voice Commands Voice Commands

Now, before you all say it's done, I get it.

But I feel like the other version of this one was a little bit loved, some of the orders were wrong, there were too many, and most importantly there was no version of the Napoleonic Wars.

This is not a mod per se, but more of a guide and compilation of software for using your voice to command your heroic troops on the battlefield. But never worry, all you need to do to make this work is open the exe and a few other things.

----Install----

  • Download voice commands
  • Unzip to a location of your choice
  • Put Speech SDK into Program Files x86, or just Program Files or 32-bit users
  • Open and install PiLfluS
  • After the installation is complete, click "Load Command List" in the upper left corner
  • Find the location of the unzipped file and select the Native or Napoleonic Wars.LCL file accordingly
  • Windows Speech Recognition should automatically turn on if you click the microphone button to start recognition. If not, just search in the search bar.
  • Open your game, enter battle and follow PiLfluS

Command your troops with the setup commands shown in 9. Have fun shouting "FIRE!" and "CHAAARRGGEEE!!!" into your microphone

You can also change any command to whatever you want, for example if you change "Charge" to "Lazy Buggers" then the command Lazy Buggers will charge your man.

Note: I had to set some things to less convenient commands due to conflict issues with other commands, for example, "Fire at Will" is actually "Free" and "Melee Weapons Only" is "Repair Bayonet", and "Fire on My Order" from the Napoleonic Wars is "Now". But again, you can change these to whatever you want.

have fun. Just remember to do Windows Speech Recognition.

P.S If Pilflus is not working properly for some reason or you have problems using it, try using the Ryanrmc version of another speech recognition program.

Now, before you all say this has been done already, I know.

But I felt the other other version of this was a little under loved, some commands were not right, there were too many and most importantly there was not a version for Napoleonic Wars.

This is not a mod per-se, but more a guide and compilation of software in order to use your voice to command your valiant troops on the field of battle. But never fear, all you need to do in order to get this working is open an exe and a few other things.

----Installation----

  • Download Voice Commands
  • Unzip to a location of your choice
  • Place Speech SDK into Program Files x86, or just Program Files or 32 bit users
  • Open and install PiLfluS
  • Once installed, click on "Load Command list" in the top left
  • Find where you unzipped the file, and select the Native or Napoleonic Wars.LCL file accordingly
  • Windows speech recognition should open automatically, if it does click on the microphone button to begin recognition. If it does not, simply search for it in the search bar.
  • Open your game, go into a battle and order your troops about with the set commands shown in PiLfluS
  • Have fun yelling "FIRE!!!!" and "CHAAARRGGEEE!!!" into your microphone

You can also change any of the commands to whatever you wish, for example, if you changed "Charge" to "Lazy Buggers" then the command Lazy Buggers would then cause your men to charge.

Note: I had to set some things to a not very convenient command due to there being conflicting issues with other commands, for example, "Fire at Will" is actually "Free" and "Use Melee Weapons Only" is "Fix Bayonets", "Fire at my Command" is "Present" in Napoleonic Wars. But again, you can change these to whatever you wish.

Have fun. Just remember to have Windows voice recognition on.

P.S If Pilflus doesn't work for some reason or you're having trouble using it try out Ryanrmc's version which uses another voice recognition program.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
