Jimbob's Extended Factions
This mod is an update to the known and loved Native game, with 4 new factions, each very loosely based in real world countries and/or cultures.
All current factions benefit from updated troop trees (or at least finally, I'm a bit lazy. :D)
All factions are currently available in multiplayer. Multiplayer isn't exactly balanced. Japan seems to have just about everyone, and Khergit Scorpions are pretty good too. But this is an alpha and new projects still need to be sorted out.
4 new factions:
Leones Crown: I know the name doesn't mean it, but these guys are based on medieval Spain. Jinetes, Almughavars, Rodeleros all appeared. The color is bright red and they are also found more or less in the desert between Rhodoks and Sarranids.
Nihon Shogunate: Not a very original name, but it gets the point across. Nihon Shogunate is located in the southern part of the Saranids and has three towns inspired by Japanese culture. Kanjii, katakana and hiragana. Yes, I just picked the first Japanese word my sister could find on the internet, but hey? Will find Samurai, Ashigaru, Yabusame, etc. (I noticed a few other mods that featured Samurai, TaleWorlds has some real students of Japanese history. I have to state now that this is a. Not history and b. I know all the crap about Japanese history. But that doesn't matter to me. Samurai are cool. Their color is dark blue.
Tribe of Vorroks: Name Will Be Changed I'm only using it because I originally got the idea from Jubal's excellent Southern Realms mod. (Besides the bears, that mod is great. They've never worked for me.) Stereotypical medieval highlander. They are brown in color and are located in the northern part of Vaegirs.
Federation of Halrond: They are based on medieval Welsh, Irish and English. I was originally going to put the Scots here, but my sister loves Scottish accents, so they got their own faction. They are located between Rhodoks and Swadia and are grey-blue in color.
I'm thinking of adding some new factions and if I can get someone to maybe expand the map a little bit. Not a new one just opening up the borders a little bit and I can knead the native factions a little bit to make some space. I'm making suggestions for new factions.
KNOWN BUGS:
Solo play doesn't really work. There are so many scenes in all new places. Only the Lyonessian troop tree actually has the correct items in the new faction. All other new factions are just Swadian clones. Scenarios aren't high on my priority list, but neither are the troop trees.
Multiplayer doesn't seem to pick up the ruler weapons I put in. This will be fixed in the next update.
No new banners and stuff. Doesn't stop multiplayer, but it does cause an error message in single player. This too needs to be remedied.
There is no option to play like Khergit Scorpion. Mainly because I'm too lazy to implement the as a player option.
If you find any more, please let me know and I'll try to fix it. Reputation:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
