Hardcore Warband Hardcore Team
The stats of all weapons have been changed and all armor is more expensive. Basically, the game is now realistic. I need testers so please PM me here or add me on Steam, my username is leTapir.
MULTIPLAYER ONLY MOD
More details:
- Archery:
Just like IRL, bows can now kill in one and a half shots. The problem is, it's harder to target now, just like IRL. This means one archer can not only snipe everyone. For example, the War Bow can kill in one hit, but is difficult to land, so you have to rain it down as a team.
Crossbows are also more powerful and more expensive. For example, you can't afford a heavy metal crossbow. Don't even think about siege.
- Infantry:
All weapons deal increased damage. Most swords and axes can be killed in one shot if you aim well and the enemy isn't wearing armor. This means you need more skills. This also means combat is faster paced. And those dumb 2 hour spammers aren't going to do anything stupid to a guy wielding a machete or dagger.
Shields are now a perk rather than a right, they are more expensive, easily breakable and no longer sci-fi shields (force fields...). You can shoot the shield over the man's head, or under the man's legs. Now, Shielders require some skill to block, it's not just "right click and watch".
Elite armor now costs 6k. (It was about 3k before).
- Cavalry:
Horses are faster and more expensive. Because you can't just ask your commander for a horse and get everything you want. Your army doesn't carry that many horses, so make good use of them. Armored horses are really expensive.
repair:
- I see that the Nord Archer bots are overpowered, the solution might be to reduce the longbow power and make the two handaxes more expensive.
Fixed (still needs testing)
- Someone posted a link to a great webpage showing prices for armor, weapons, horses...everything they could find. Leather armor is very cheap nowadays and mail armor is expensive. For this reason, the server hosting this should have the money setting set to 10% (e.g. Elite Sword now costs 350, Mail 1200, Leather Armor 80, etc.). The horse deserves a SHITLOAD now. The value of the war horse is 5 times that of the knight's full armor! I would make it in such a way that it is still affordable but expensive.
I read somewhere that the range of a longbow is about 400 yards, which is how far it can shoot now (more or less).
renew:
1.0 - 2/09/2010: Nord and Svadia weapon prices and stats reworked. Expand to other factions.
Poleaxes are now slower because IRL you get tired easily swinging a 2kg weapon. The same goes for the two swords, which are not really used in actual combat but more in rituals.
1.01 - 3/09/2010: Prices changed for all factions (stats also changed). Implemented heraldic mail, I took it as armor is very cheap and obsolete, it is reserved for commanders in strategic battles. The siege crossbow is now an Arbalest, which is slower but very powerful.
I also changed the way I shoot. Bows now provide base slash damage, making you have to shoot 3 bolts to kill an enemy. Since this wasn't very realistic, I made the arrows also provide a piercing bonus. This way some armor might be resistant to some arrows (chains are more resistant than we think) but still do damage.
Added graphics package for SendMeSmile, which is his theme :).
1.02 - 3/09/2010: Changed file extension since .rar is more common and fixed several prices.
All weapons' stats changed, all armor lots more expensive. Basically, the game is now realistic. I need testers, so PM me here or add me on Steam, my username is leTapir.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
