Female face and hair mod Female face and hair
This mod will swap the female's face with a new one and add new hair.
This is not my mod, so all points go to Adeline and Waswar.
I just made a vanilla game.
illustrate:
Back up your native folder in "\Steam\SteamApps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\Native" while
Just unzip the downloaded folder to: "\Steam\SteamApps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\Native" and overwrite it if asked.
Finish.
-------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------
Suitable for people who want to use it with other mods.
Look at the module.ini file and there are 4 mod lines:
load_mod_resource = textures
load_module_resource = materials_face_gen
load_mod_resource = hair
load_module_resource = meshes_face_gen
This line must be added to your module.ini at the same place you added it to this mod's module.ini (this is imported to keep this text in the same position)
Then delete this line in your module.ini:
load_resource = hair
Then just copy all other files to your modules folder.
Check the differences between your and this mod's skins.txt files and add the missing content.
Might be complete, but still may not work with all mods.

For those who want to use it with Clash of Kings (only for older versions not 3.0).
- Copy the textures and resources from the warband installation directory and place them into your Clash of Kings module folder
- Extract the assets and textures folders from the archive and place them into your Clash of Kings module folder. 3. Open the module. ini (the one in the modules folder) and make the following changes:
Set load_resource = hair
Change load_mod_resource = hair to load_resource = textures
Change to load_mod_resource = textures load_resource = materials_face_gen
Change to load_module_resource = materials_face_gen Change load_resource = meshes_face_gen to load_module_resource = materials_face_gen
- Open up the skins.txt (from your modules folder) and edit it to match the skins.txt in the archive.
Thanks LordMerek for thinking it out :)

Add original mod to use PW 4.5
- Open File Explorer and go to steamapps/common/Mount & Blade Warband/modules/
2 Before, enter the location of the Steam folder. In the modules folder you should have the current version of Persistent World, which should be PW 4.5. Copy that folder and make a backup of it, preferably keep it in the modules folder and change the name to PW 4.5 Backup (you will need the backup to create your female character, just keep it in the modules folder).
- There are now two folders, one is normal PW 4.5 and the other is character creation, you want to install the mod now, so go ahead and open it
Order No. 4 Folder.4. Select all folders to drop the folders into the normal PW 4.5 version that is playing and select "Overwrite".
- Now repeat the last step using command folder number 5 and repeat step 4 while overwriting the files in the normal PW 4.5 folder.
- Once completed, you have successfully installed the mod pack.
This mod is deprecated and discontinued.
Install at your own risk.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
