About this mod Machine translation
MT2CheatGUI — Cheat Panel for Monster Train 2
A visual, mouse-driven cheat panel. No console commands to type: pick cards, artifacts and upgrades by
looking at them, with search and filters. The UI follows the game language (Chinese UI for Chinese,
English for every other language); card, artifact and clan names always come from the game itself.
Chinese instructions are below.
How to open
- Click the Cheat button in the top bar (between your artifacts and the clan icons), or
- press F3 (configurable).
Features
Common tab
- Gold: +100 / +500 / +1000 or set an exact amount
- Ember (in battle): add or set
- Pyre: full heal, +10 HP, set max HP
- Toggles: unlimited ember, invincible units / pyre / enemies
- Battle: draw cards, discard hand, clear ability cooldowns, win the current battle, set floor capacity
- Random card / random artifact / main clan XP
Add Cards — a full-screen, scrolling grid of the game's real cards (like the deck screen)
- Filter by clan, rarity, type and cost (multi-select), search names and card text, sort
- Click a card to add it (×1 / ×2 / ×3 / ×5). In battle it goes to your hand, otherwise to your deck
Artifacts — icon tiles with full descriptions; click to get, click an owned one (green) to remove
Upgrades — use any upgrade stone through the game's own card-selection screen
Deck / Remove — your current deck, rendered with upgrades
- Remove a card, add a copy, or edit upgrades: remove stones already on a card, or add new ones
(only stones the game allows on that card, or tick "Show all upgrades" to ignore the rules)
- Champion cards can't be removed
Clicks on the panel and the button never reach the game behind them.
Notes
- Single-player only. Changes are made through the game's own developer-cheat functions and are
saved with your run.
- Removing internal upgrades marked "(internal)" can break a card's intended behaviour — remove
stones you added yourself.
- Config (BepInEx/config/jiesi.mt2.cheatgui.cfg, or r2modman's Config editor):
ToggleKey, UIScale, ShowButton, InTopBar (false = free, draggable button position).
MT2CheatGUI — Monster Train 2 Cheat Panel
Use the mouse to click on the cheat panel without typing commands. Look at the pictures of cards, artifacts, and enhancement stones to choose, and you can search and filter them.
The interface language follows the game: Chinese games display Chinese, other languages display English. The names of cards, artifacts, and clans all come from the game itself.
how to open
- Click the "Cheat" button in the top status bar (right of the artifact, left of the clan icon), or
- Press F3 (can be changed in settings).
Function
Commonly used: add gold coins/set gold coins, add embers/set embers (during battle), furnace blood recovery/change upper limit, infinite embers and various invincible switches,
Draw cards, discard cards, clear skill cooldown, win the battle directly, change the capacity of each layer, random cards/random artifacts/clan experience.
Add Cards: Full-screen, scrollable grid of real cards like a deck interface. Filter by clan, rarity, type, and cost.
You can search and sort card names and card descriptions. Add cards when you click them (×1/×2/×3/×5 each time). Cards will be added to your hand during battle, otherwise they will be added to your deck.
Artifact: A grid with an icon and complete description. Click to obtain it. If you already own it (green), click again to remove it.
Strengthening Stone: Use any strengthening stone through the game's own card selection interface.
Deck/Delete: Display your current deck (including upgrades). You can delete the card, make a copy, or change the card:
Remove the existing strengthening stones on the card, or add new ones (by default, only the ones allowed by the game to be used on this card are listed, check "Show all strengthening stones" to ignore the restriction).
Brave cards cannot be deleted.
When clicking on panels and buttons, you will not accidentally click on subsequent game …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
