about
This ReShade preset does some color grading to pop the contrast, remove the washed-out look, remove the "Vaseline smear" rendering style (i.e. everything is blurry and seems just a little out of focus), and inject some better AO in between other things.
Installation instructions
- Install ReShade, navigate to the MHW directory (default: "$steamDir/SteamApps/Common/Monster Hunter World"), select drd10+
- Unzip the ini file contained in the MHW directory where ReShade is installed.
- Start MHW, open ReShade (default shortcut SHIFT + F2, if this doesn't work, you can change it in ReShade.ini)
- If the preset is not loaded by default, you can select it from the drop-down box. The top of the ReShade overlay.
Uninstall instructions
- Contrary to what it does to install it, it's not rocket surgery (ReShade's installer has a built-in uninstall feature - use that. Or just delete dxgi.dll from MHW's directory - your choice)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
