1. Function introduction
HunterPie is widely used by hunters as an easy-to-operate blood display software, but it actually analyzes the memory of the entire monster hunter and also provides a convenient interface for secondary development. This plug-in is a monster move control plug-in developed on the interface provided by it.
**About plug-in installation:** Drag `MonsterActionController.dll` and `module.json` into the `\Modules\MonsterActionController` folder. If you need to modify the script, drag in `MonsterActionController.cs` and `module.json`, and the script will be compiled every time HunterPie starts.
1) Basic usage
The plug-in is used through shortcut keys. Currently, it only adapts the movements of the black dragon. However, I provide a simple method for users to expand, and everyone is welcome to submit adaptations for other monsters.
The current version is limited to only one monster in the whole map. **Using the corresponding shortcut key will lock the use of the skill. Press Alt+S to abort**. You can also directly press other skill shortcut keys to switch to other skills. Currently, the shortcut keys for Black Dragon and Thunder Wolf Dragon are supported. The following takes Black Dragon as an example:
| Shortcut keys | Skills/functions | In-game skill codes/details |
| ------ | -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Alt+D | Enable Debug | Enable data saving. The monster's moves and corresponding numerical codes will be saved to the Actionlog.csv of the same level as HunterPie |
| Alt+T | Switch monsters | Switch between all adapted monsters, and the console will display the current monster. |
| Alt+S | Stop locking moves | Stop controlling monster moves after pressing |
| Alt+E | Riding | Need to accumulate at least 1 point of riding value first, such as insect stick air attack |
| Alt+R | Toggle key prompts | Toggle notifications for pressing shortcut keys. Switch between system prompt sound and sending chat messages. |
| Alt+J | Single Fireball | 88 / L2 Breath Single |
| Alt+K | Chest Line Fire Shoot | 135 / L2 Line Fire Shoot |
| Alt+L | Sector Fire | 154 / L2 Special Wide Range Fire Shoot |
| Alt+U | Straight line multi-delay explosion | 131 / L2 Vertical Escape Dust Explosion Start |
| Alt+O | Small Front Bite | 78 / L4 Short Bite |
| Alt+B | Breathe down from chest | 137 / L2 Under Breath |
| Alt+N | 180° Tail Swing | 76 / L2 Tail Swing |
| Alt+M | Car | 53 / L4 Rush Start |
| Alt+Z | 360° Fire Breath | 155 / L4 All Angle Breath |
| Alt+V | Breath delayed bomb | 81 / L2 Quick Breath |
| Alt+P | Press down | 73 / L2 Switch L4 Body Press |
2) Expansion (see version 2.0 below)
If you want to control other monsters, you need to find the ActionID corresponding to the monster's skills by yourself. This section briefly explains the plug-in principle and how to expand and adapt it.
**Principle** (you don’t have to read it)
The MHW monster's moves are controlled by an int type **ActionID**. When the monster finishes using a skill, it will perform the next action based on this ID. However, the monster's **AI will continuously update this value** according to different situations. As a result, a simple change of the ActionID cannot control its moves. Even the memory locking frequency of CE is too low, and the actual measurement cannot achieve the effect. HunterPie provides real-time display of monster skills in the game, a …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
