About this mod Machine translation
The ponytail is reduced in the tight ponytail hairstyle. I always wanted to see if it looked better so I tried making it. Blender kept glitching during editing and I had to redo it about 10 times.
Warning: This forces a high poly mesh (i.e. no LOD). Depending on your system, it may negatively impact your framerate.
Update log:
- Fixed clipping issue. This was a physics file issue, but I also re-fixed the ponytail mesh. So it's slightly different than the old image in the gallery.
- Please note that there are still some clue cutting issues. This seems more like a weighting issue.
- Added two long variations.
- Fixed hair cutting across the body. I was using the wrong CCL file.
- Move the bones to match the modified mesh.
Install:
Unzip the archive (with folders) to Steam\Steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World\
If you want to replace a different hairstyle, you can try renaming the folders and files from 105 to any number between 100 and 112.
uninstall:
If you want to restore the original version, just delete the mod file in NativePC\wp\pl\hair\hair105\
Thanks to Vuze for the unpacking tool, daemon1's raw texture converter (correct offset values are usually 100,108,110,118), MHWTexConvert for converting DDS to BC7, the MT Framework tool imported with Predator for reference, and CrazyT's BlenderMhwModelImporter.

- Note that there's still some issues of strands clipping through. That seems to be more of a weighting problem than anything else.
- Added two long variations.
- Fixed hair clipping through the entire body. I was using the wrong CCL file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
