In-game HUD switching
游戏中的HUD切换
About this mod Machine translation
This AutoHotkey script allows the in-game HUD to be toggled using designated hotkeys so that important HUD information can still be seen without being permanently displayed. It can turn the HUD on/off when a button is pressed, or like previous games, only show the HUD when a key is pressed. Additionally, it can temporarily display the HUD when the player's HP changes. It's based on work I've done for the other "Hidden HUD Fix", which replaces as much of the HUD as possible with overlays - except this one isn't about reinventing the wheel (but it can't be moved off-screen).
The script actually only changes the in-game settings to hide/show the HUD - it just skips the need to open the menu. It writes a byte to the address where the option is located when needed.
usage:
Extract files to any folder.
Change the settings as needed in the settings.txt file.
Run .ahk or .exe - both should be the same.
If MHW is running both, it *should* work, no matter which one starts first
This AutoHotkey script enables toggling of the in-game HUD with an assigned hotkey so that important HUD information can still be seen without being permanently shown. It can either toggle the HUD on/off when the button is pressed, or like previous games, show the HUD only when the key is held down. Additionally, it can temporarily show the HUD when the player's HP changes. It is based on the work I did for my other "Hidden HUD Fix" which replaces as much of the HUD as possible with an overlay - except this one doesn't aim to reinvent the wheel (but it can't be moved offscreen).

Usage:
Extract the files to any folder.
Change settings as necessary in the settings.txt file.
Run the.ahk or the.exe - both should be the same.
If MHW is running at the same time, it *should* work regardless of which was started first
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
