About this mod Machine translation
Enjoy cool Grimalkyne hunting at your side. Choose from any of 4 tribes.
All player Palicoes will appear as Grimalkynes with this mod, NPC Palicoes are unaffected.
I just made a simple mod for fun, don't expect any updates.
illustrate:
- Paste the nativePC folder into the MHW installation folder (Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World)
- Go to nativePC\otomo\ot000\mod and open the Grimalkyne folder of your choice (Bugtrapper: Brown, Protector: Black and White, Trouper: Gray and Red, Predator: Light Gray and Brown)
- Copy the contents of your preferred Grimalkyne folder and paste it into nativePC\otomo\ot000\mod\otomo000
Feel free to move or delete any unused/unneeded Grimalkyne folders.
To remove the mod, simply delete the nativePC\otomo folder and Palico will return to normal.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
