"The Legend of Long Yin" Mod Framework
Dragon is the symbol of the emperor!
The Book of Dragons currently mainly provides two types of abilities:
- When the game loads the configuration table, export the game configuration table to facilitate analysis and secondary sorting.
- Without directly changing the game resources, make incremental patches to the CSV configuration table through the `ModsOfLong` directory.

Functions and functions
1. Configuration table export
After starting the game, the game configuration table will be exported to the directory:
```
\DataDump\Latest
```
2. Data Mod incremental patch
Mods will be automatically created in the game's `Mods` directory:
```
\Mods\ModsOfLong
```
In this directory, all folders starting with `mod` will be recognized as a data Mod.
How to use
Install Mod
premise:
- "The Legend of Long Yin" has been installed
- MelonLoader installed
- The built product has been placed in the game `Mods` directory, or directly used to compile and automatically copy using this project
After running successfully:
- `TheBookOfLong.dll` will be located in `\Mods`
- The export directory will appear in `\DataDump\Latest`
- The data Mod root directory will appear in `\Mods\ModsOfLong`
Write data Mod
Data Mod directory structure example:
```text
Mods
└─ ModsOfLong
└─ modMyFirstMod
├─ Info.json
└─ Data
├─ NameData.csv
└─ ItemData.csv
```
`Info.json` optional, example:
```json
{
"Name": "My first data Mod"
}
```
If there is no `Info.json`, the folder name minus the `mod` prefix will be used as the display name by default.
CSV Patch Rules
The patch file path should be consistent with the exported configuration name. For example, the exported result is:
```text
DataDump\Latest\GameData\NameData.csv
```
Then the patch file should be placed in:
```text
Mods\ModsOfLong\modMyFirstMod\Data\GameData\NameData.csv
```
Merge rules:
- The header of the first row must be exactly the same as the original table.
- The primary key column will give priority to identifying column names such as `id`, `ID`, `number`, `serial number`, and `plot number`.
- If the primary key is the same, the original row will be overwritten.
- If the primary key does not exist, add a new row.
- When there is no clear primary key, it will fall back to the more relaxed first column identification logic.
String ID rules
Since the game's data configuration ID is incremental, in order to make it easier for Mods to add content, a new method is added to use strings as ID placeholders.
```text
mod character A
mod new plot 001
modMyCustomNpc
```
Processing rules:
- String primary keys starting with `mod` are recognized as "symbol IDs".
- After all data Mods are read, they will be sorted by strings and uniformly mapped to new digital IDs.
- If the same symbolic ID appears in multiple tables, they will be mapped to the same numeric ID.
- If some tables w …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
