About this mod Author’s original text

WalkieTalkieMimic

WalkieTalkieMimic is a BepInEx mod for Lethal Company by Michalis.

Masked enemies will transmit Mirage voice mimicry through walkie-talkies when they are far enough from all players.

When close to players, Mirage handles voice normally in 3D space — no interference.

Transmission sounds exactly like a real walkie-talkie — click, radio-filtered voice, click off.

Distance, minimum interval, and maximum interval between transmissions are configurable.

Supports both naturally spawned Masked enemies (Mirage) and dead body mimics (NightOfTheLivingMimic).

Compatible with ReservedWalkieSlot for reserved slot walkie detection and multiplayer.WAIT!! for 1.0.10 working version.

Requires Universal Radar for detection and synchronization across all moons.

Dependencies (Required)

  • MirageCore by qwbarch
  • Mirage by qwbarch
  • NightOfTheLivingMimic by slayer6409
  • LethalIntelligenceExperimental by VirusTLNR
  • ReservedItemSlotCore by FlipMods
  • ReservedWalkieSlot by FlipMods
  • Universal Radar by ScienceBird (Improved, dynamic, and configurable contour maps for every moon)

Configuration

A config file WalkieTalkieMimic.cfg is generated in BepInEx/config/ on first launch.

Settings:

  • TransmitDistance (default 25) — distance from all players to transmit via walkie
  • WalkieVolume (default 2.0) — volume multiplier for radio filter
  • TransmitCooldownMin (default 13) — minimum seconds between transmissions per mimic
  • TransmitCooldownMax (default 40) — maximum seconds between transmissions per mimic

Installation

  • Install all required dependencies.
  • Copy WalkieTalkieMimic.dll to BepInEx/plugins/WalkieTalkieMimic.
  • Launch the game to generate the config file.
  • Adjust settings if desired.

WalkieTalkieMimic adds terrifying realism by letting Masked enemies mimic voices over walkie-talkies.

The closer they get, the more natural the voice behavior — creating paranoia, uncertainty, and tension in solo and multiplayer games.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
