Pingo Enemy
Pingo adds a new indoor enemy to Lethal Company.
Developed by JLeonL.
Pingo patrols indoor rooms, chases visible players, can be scanned as an enemy, and becomes increasingly dangerous as players stay near it.
Features
- Slow indoor enemy.
- Patrols interior rooms and chases visible players.
- Gives a chased player a 30 second targeting cooldown after the explosion cycle.
- Stops for 2 seconds at maximum buildup, then explodes and can kill players within 3m.
- Scannable as Pingo.
- High spawn weight by default.
- Spatial pingo.mp3 audio.
- Volume increases while players stay nearby.
- After enough nearby time, the sound interval ramps down until sounds overlap, then loops back so it does not stay permanently at the fastest rate.
Configuration
Config file:
BepInEx/config/JLeonL.PingoEnemy.cfg
Important defaults:
[Spawning]
SpawnWeight = 175
[Testing]
EnableDebugSpawnKey = false
ForceSpawnAfterLanding = false
ForceTestSpawnInFrontOfPlayer = true
ForceSpawnAfterLanding is disabled for release, so Pingo will no longer appear automatically when the ship lands. It spawns naturally through LethalLib.
Enable EnableDebugSpawnKey only if you want the host to press F6 to spawn Pingo during testing.
Installation
Install through Mod Manager or r2modman.
Required dependencies:
- BepInExPack
- LethalLib
Notes
All players in the lobby should install the mod and dependencies.
Everyone should use the same version, especially for 2.0.0+ because movement is network synchronized.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
