Night Vision Goggles

Adds Night Vision Goggles to the ship store. Switch them on and the dark turns bright green, while monsters glow red with a target box showing their name and distance.

How it works

  • Buy them from the terminal: buy night vision goggles (180 credits by default).
  • Pick them up, then press N to put them on or take them off. They work from any inventory slot, so your hands stay free for a flashlight or shovel.
  • You can also hold them and press LMB.
  • Teammates see the goggles on your head, with glowing green lenses.
  • The fog clears while they're on, so you can see much further.
  • Monsters within 60 m glow and get lit by a red spotlight. When you can see them directly, they also get a box with their name and distance.
  • Turrets, landmines and spike traps glow yellow.
  • A full battery lasts 5 minutes. Recharge it at the ship's charging station.
  • Dropping the goggles switches them off.
  • Monsters that are meant to be invisible to you (like the Ghost Girl haunting someone else) stay invisible.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
