LethalWeights
This is a Lethal Company mod that makes it so any items you have subtract weight instead of adding it, making you float.
Features
- Anti-Gravity Scraps: Holding any item in your hands overrides standard gravity and causes you to float upward.
- Dynamic Weight Physics: Float speed scales dynamically based on total carried mass. Lighter items float faster, while heavier scrap slows down your ascension.
- Fall Damage Intact: Standard falling physics resume as soon as you drop or switch your held item. Keep an eye on your height!
- Client-Side Physics: Applied locally to active players via Harmony patches on PlayerControllerB.
Configuration & Formula
Float speed is calculated frame-by-frame using the total carried mass
- Base Speed: 5.0 m/s
- Minimum Float Speed: 0.5 m/s (Heavy items will still float slowly)
- Base Player Mass: Assumed at 70 kg
Requirements
- BepInEx Pack for Lethal Company
*.NET Framework 4.7.2.NET Standard 2.1
Installation
- Download the latest release from the Releases tab or.
- Extract the archive and place LethalWeights.dll inside your BepInEx/plugins folder.
- Launch Lethal Company via BepInEx.
Known Issues & FAQ
- Why am I taking fall damage when I drop my item?
- Gravity immediately resumes when you stop holding an item. If you release a heavy item high in the air, your fall distance will accumulate normally on the way down.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
