LethalPerformance
Optimizes the game by caching frequently searchable components
About this mod Author’s original text
LethalPerformance
LethalPerformance reduces CPU work, allocations, and common frame-time spikes in Lethal Company. It is designed to work alongside gameplay and content mods without changing gameplay.
For support or discussion, use the Discord channel at Discord thread.
What it improves
- Caches frequently searched game, network, moon, dungeon objects to avoid repeated FindObjectOfType-style work.
- Reduces allocations and main-thread work in common paths.
- Reduces save-related hitching by caching Easy Save 3 file data and scheduling saves.
- Tunes HDRP defaults to reduce unnecessary memory use, including the reflection-probe texture cache.
- Pre-generates ProBuilderMeshes in interiors, and uses async tile instantiation for less hitching when dungeon generates (requires LethalLevelLoader).
- Adds an API to patch audio mixer to make TZP voice pitching working with MoreCompany (requires DiFFoZTweaks).

Troubleshooting
My screen is black \[Failed to find "lib_burst_generated.data"\]
Disable Kaspersky or other types of antivirus. After that, uninstall the mod, click to clean up unused mods, and then reinstall the mod. It should download correctly.
The log says that the Reflection Probe Atlas or 2D Cookie Texture Atlas is full
Increase the matching LethalPerformance rendering setting.
I see an "Entrance teleport mismatch" tip
Another mod likely prevented an entrance teleport from spawning correctly. Expect the affected entrance to report that it is blocked; update or temporarily remove recently added moon/interior mods to identify the conflict.
The log warns that Terbium is installed
Remove Terbium for better compatibility with LethalPerformance.
Recommended mods
For a preconfigured pack of performance and bugfix mods that you can add to any modpack, use Starter Pack by ThecheeseXD.
LethalPerformance also works well with:
- AsyncLoggers by Matty_Matty - processes logs on a separate thread so log spam does not hitch the game.
- BepInEx Faster Load AssetBundles Patcher by DiFFoZ - decompresses asset bundles to disk to cut startup time and RAM use.
- PathfindingLagFix by Zaggy1024 - moves vanilla AI pathfinding off the main thread.
- NavMeshLib by TRizzle - rebakes NavMeshes in the background instead of blocking the main thread.
- CullFactory by fumiko & Zaggy1024 - stops rendering interior rooms, items, and lights that aren't visible.
- LethalSponge by Scoops - adds camera FPS limits, scrap culling and LODs, graphics options.
- ReXuvination by XuXiaolan - cuts unnecessary collision/trigger work for enemies, players, doors, landmines, and other objects.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
