SCP3166 Fix
An automated BepInEx preloader compatibility patch for ProjectSCP's SCP3166 (ProjectSCP-SCP3166) ensuring full compatibility with modern Lethal Company versions (v60+).
What It Fixes
ProjectSCP-SCP3166 v1.0.1 targets older Lethal Company releases and crashes in current versions due to base-game binary changes:
- EnemyAI.PlayerIsTargetable (MissingMethodException):
- Problem: Lethal Company updated EnemyAI.PlayerIsTargetable to require 4 parameters (bool force = false). In unpatched versions, whenever SCP3166 calculates target players during DoAIInterval() or Update(), a fatal MissingMethodException is thrown.
- Fix: Automatically updates the call to pass force = false and targets the active 4-parameter method.
- EntranceTeleport.exitPoint (MissingFieldException):
- Problem: The base-game EntranceTeleport.exitPoint field was removed, breaking SmartCanPathToPoint() and GetClosestExitFromPosition().
- Fix: Retargets the navigation instructions to read the active entrancePoint field.
How It Works
This mod runs as a BepInEx preloader patcher. At game startup, it scans for ProjectSCP.SCP3166.dll in BepInEx/plugins/ and applies the IL patch in-place before plugins are loaded into memory:
- Fully automated—no manual file decompilation required.
- Automatically creates a.orig backup of the unpatched binary.
- Survives mod updates and reinstalls.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
