[Prerequisite] Installing R2ModManager:
Before installing the modpack, you need the recommended modloader, R2ModManager (AKA R2ModMan). I prefer this over the alternative,, as it is ad-free and does not require Overwolf, which is included and forced to run.
To install:
- Download R2ModManager by pressing "Manual download" on the linked page.
- Create a folder to extract R2ModMan to that is memorable and easily accessible (example, a folder named "R2ModMan" on your desktop).
- Extract the contents of the downloaded.ZIP file to this newly created folder, and run the executable file contained within.
- This will begin the installation of R2ModMan. Follow the steps on the setup wizard, and run R2ModMan when finished.
IMPORTANT
EACH TIME THERE IS AN UPDATE TO THE ACTUAL KAYOTIC ANIMALS MODPACK THEN I RECOMMEND CREATING A NEW PROFILE IN YOUR MOD MANAGER AND REINSTALL THE WHOLE NEW MODPACK CLEANLY. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY FOR ANY OTHER MODS IN THE MODPACK SO JUST USE THE UPDATE BUTTON AS USUSAL, JUST THIS MODPACK's UPDATES REQUIRE CLEAN INSTALL BECAUSE THE MODMANAGERS DON"T DELETE ANY MODS WE REMOVE IN AN UPDATE

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
