JesterJukebox
Library for Jester sound packs. Install several packs and a random one plays on each moon you land on.
About this mod Author’s original text
Jester Jukebox
Install as many Jester sound packs as you like. Each time you land on a moon, Jester Jukebox picks one of them at random for every Jester that round.
- No packs installed: the Jester plays its normal sounds.
- Packs installed: the normal sounds only play for slots the chosen pack doesn't replace.
- The pick comes from the moon's seed, so everyone in the lobby with the same packs hears the same one. No networking needed, and players without Jester Jukebox just hear the normal Jester.
The chosen pack is logged in BepInEx/LogOutput.log ("Jester pack for this landing:...").
Making a pack
No code needed. Your pack's zip:
manifest.json (dependencies include "Xylq-JesterJukebox-1.0.0")

README.md
BepInEx/plugins//
jester_jukebox.json
windup.ogg optional: music while the Jester cranks its box
popup.ogg optional: one-shot when it pops out
chase.ogg optional: plays while it chases
kill.ogg optional: one-shot when it kills someone
jester_jukebox.json:
{ "name": "My Jester Pack" }
Each sound can be.ogg,.wav or.mp3. Include any combination; missing ones keep the vanilla sound..ogg keeps your download much smaller than.wav.
Timing note: the Jester cranks for about 35-40 seconds before it pops, so a shorter windup track goes quiet before the pop (a longer one is cut off when it pops).
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
