About this mod Author’s original text

Extra Enemy Variety

ExtraEnemyVariety is a mod that adds over 100+ different unique and/or referential skins to the vanilla entity roster of Lethal Company in a effort to add even more variety to the enemies you see, similar to how Tulip Snakes have alternate colorations seen in Vanilla.

Skin variety ranges from skins with unique patterns & materials, to having unique sounds & additional assets! Some are even designed with the intent to match along with many vanilla & modded moons.

If you only want the moon specific skins featured in this mod, check out MoonEnemyVariety!

If you want more simplistic recolor skins for the entities, check out ColorfulEnemyVariety!

CONFIGURATION (ENEMYSKINREGISTRY)

Through EnemySkinRegistry (a dependency for EnemySkinKit), you can configure all the skins within the registry's config sub-menu, seen in-game.

(Requires LethalConfig to view)

Configurations include:

  • Enabling/Disabling individual skins
  • General skin spawn chances (including Vanilla)
  • Moon-specific skin spawn chances (including all LLL moons and moon tags)

NOTES & TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Do not edit EnemySkinRegistry's skin config file directly. It's extremely specific and can cause errors. It is intended to configure through LethalConfig only.
  • The Indoor/Outdoor config option in EnemySkinRegistry is a bit buggy and can lead to issues down the road if enabled then disabled. Caution is advised using that feature.
  • Vanilla skins are set to 0% selection chance by default in EnemySkinRegistry. Be sure to configure it if you still want normal enemy skins in play.
  • To enable skin syncing across players, have the host enable "AllowSync" and clients enable "AttemptSync" within EnemySkinRegistry's config.
  • If skins don't seem to load, make sure you have FixPluginTypesSerialization as it's needed for EnemySkinRegistry.
  • DiFFoZTweaks is recommended to fix SoftMask error instead of EnemySkinRegistry's "SoftMaskKiller" since it causes HUD stuff to look weird.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
