Lets items blocked only by vanilla's Utility Slot flag, such as Shovels, Keys, and Ammo, use the built-in Utility Slot. No extra slots or configuration.

BetterUtilitySlot
BetterUtilitySlot is a small Lethal Company v81 quality-of-life mod that lets items blocked only by vanilla's Utility Slot restriction use the game's built-in Utility Slot.
In vanilla v81, the normal non-scrap items blocked specifically by disallowUtilitySlot are:
- Shovel
- Key
- Ammo
BetterUtilitySlot allows those items into the vanilla Utility Slot while preserving vanilla's other eligibility rules.
What it changes
- Allows items marked disallowUtilitySlot to use the vanilla Utility Slot when they are otherwise eligible.
- Preserves the vanilla scrap restriction.
- Preserves the vanilla two-handed item restriction.
- Uses the existing vanilla Utility Slot (slot 50).
- Uses the normal vanilla Equip to belt: [E] interaction.
- Fixes Shotgun ammo consumption from the Utility Slot.
- Keeps carried weight and the Utility Slot HUD in sync when a utility item is consumed.
- Adds no extra inventory slots.
- Adds no configuration or custom UI.
Multiplayer
BetterUtilitySlot does not need to be installed by every player in the lobby.
- Install it on any player who wants to use the expanded Utility Slot.
- If that player is not the host, the host should also install BetterUtilitySlot so the host's authoritative inventory copy agrees that the item is in slot 50 when the item is consumed.
- Other non-host clients can remain unmodded. They may not always visually represent a Shovel, Key, or Ammo as being held from the Utility Slot, but they do not need the mod for their own inventory unless they want the feature themselves.
Installation
Install with r2modman Mod Manager, or place ZaboomafooW-BetterUtilitySlot-v1.0.6.dll in BepInEx/plugins for a manual installation.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
