Generative AI usage
The entire code base of this mod was created with generative AI. Assets are
free, licensed, paid for, or generated with AI tools. If you do not wish to play

What BetterArmory does
Better Armory adds six weapons and four ammunition families to Lethal Company.
Each weapon has first- and third-person animation, its own audio and impact effects.
An ammo panel sits in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
You choose in the config how the weapons can be acquired.
Requirements
Your mod manager installs these automatically:
- BepInExPack
- DawnLib
- LethalCompany InputUtils
- Y4NGZInteractions
Weapon Roster
| Weapon | Ammunition | Magazine | Default price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heavy Shotgun | Shotgun Shells | 4 | 110 |
| Revolver | Small Caliber Rounds | 5 | 80 |
| Pistol | Small Caliber Rounds | 17 | 95 |
| Assault Rifle | Rifle Rounds | 30 | 140 |
| Bolt-Action Rifle | Rifle Rounds | 5 | 165 |
| Flame Thrower | Fuel | 100 | 120 |
Ammo is a pickup. It goes into a personal reserve that your weapons reload from.
Ammo takes no inventory slots and is not lost on death.
The vanilla shotgun can fall back to the Shotgun Shells reserve once its own shells run out.
You can also disable vanilla shotgun shells so that only Better Armory shells are used.
Gameplay
- Every firearm has a muzzle flash and a per-surface impact. Concrete, metal, wood and soft
surfaces each get their own burst, bullet-hole decal and impact sound.
- Every weapon has its own first-person hold, fire, reload and running animations. Third-person
animations are still a work in progress, and running has none yet.

HUD and interaction feedback
A crosshair appears only while you hold a Better Armory weapon or the vanilla shotgun. Each weapon
has its own crosshair type, and it changes with what you are looking at or doing.
Configuration
Settings are in BepInEx/config/com.y4ngz.betterarmory.cfg. They cover shop listings, interior
spawns, damage and ammunition.
Compatibility
Independent installation: Better Armory needs only the libraries listed under
Requirements. The other Y4NGZ packages are optional companions - install any combination
and each one lights up its extra behavior.
| Mod | What it adds |
| --- | --- |
| LethalCCTV | Weapons can be made Company Stash exclusive, so they are not too easy to get. |
| Y4NGZ Upgrades | Ammo reserves in the player menu, and Scavenger gives more ammo per pickup. |
| BloodVFX | Flesh and insect creatures bleed where your bullets land. |
| Lategame Upgrades | Hollow Point, Long Barrel, Sleight of Hand and Silver Bullets apply to these guns. |
| Contracted | Blacksite Retrieval's outside guards carry the Assault Rifle. |

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
