Installing Songs when Installed via r2modman
When mods are installed with r2modman, BepInEx gets configured to place mod files in a different location
You can find the correct folder by going to Settings, clicking Browse profile folder, then navigating to BepInEx\Custom Songs\Boombox Music.
Manual Installation
Place the latest release into the BepInEx/plugins folder. Run the game once to generate content folders.
Update the boombox.cfg config file located in BepInEx\config\ and paste the Google Drive share URLs in the Song Download URLs = field. If you have multiple links, seperate them by commas.
URL Format should look like this:
Make sure that Link Access is set to Anyone with the link when uploading from Google Drive
Valid file types are as follows:
- WAV
- OGG
- MP3
- ZIP (Automatic extraction of contents)
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
