Blood Harvest Reimagined will be an environmental overhaul of the default Blood Harvest campaign, which draws inspiration directly from Turtle Rock Studio's Left 4 Dead era. For the developers of Fairfield Terror, the purpose of this event is not to directly recreate the work of TRS, but to completely revamp the event so that players can make use of assets from various Source engine games and fall into a beautiful and colorful but also dark and dead forest.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 custom map (.vpk)
- Custom maps ship as .vpk files too: unzip and copy the .vpk into the left4dead2/addons folder.
- Launch the game and pick the map from the Add-on Campaigns list in the main menu.
- If it does not show up, load it from the console (enable it in options first) with: map <mapname> — the name is usually in the bundled readme.
- In multiplayer, the host and every player need the same map installed.
Keep map versions in sync for multiplayer; large maps take a while to load the first time.
