About this mod Machine translation
This is a miniature gun sound, recorded from the real thing to replace the movie version of the game.
One major problem with gun replacement sounds is that when you replace any sound, the volume is always too low. I looked into everything I could do to change the volume except maximizing the contents of the WAV file, which I did.
So, if you feel like it's not loud enough, like me, I'm sorry, but this is what I can do without completely distorting the sound. I compressed and normalized it as much as possible and then compressed it a little more (so it was already clipped).
If any other teammates know how to set the game volume parameters then please share with me and I will make this one as real as it gets.
I only changed the firing noise, not the start and end of the barrel rotation, which is the same as the original.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
