Harry Mason is the false protagonist of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. He is a reimagined character from the main game canon. At the end of the game, Harry is a spiritual manifestation.

Harry's clothes will change halfway through the game to fit one of four possible endings:

drunk dad

-If the player focuses on addictive behaviors such as drinking, smoking, and drugs, Harry will wear a green Letterman style jacket.

Harry's outfit change is similar to a progress report in that it doesn't define which ending the player will get; for example, Harry can wear the "Lovelorn" outfit, but the player still has a chance to get the other three endings.

Details of Harry's life before Cheryl's birth are unknown. In 1983, Harry and his wife Dahlia had a daughter, whom they named Cheryl Heather Mason. Harry was a loving father to his young daughter. Harry, Daria and Cheryl live at 1206 Levin Street, Silent Hill. As Cheryl grows up, Harry and Daria divorce as they find their love withering (the exact reason for this depends on which ending the player accepts). The incident had a profound impact on a young Cheryl, who felt she was personally responsible for their divorce.
