About this mod Machine translation
Welcome to the 2020 Game Remastering Project, which aims to modify and adapt game elements to modern high standards, as if the game would have been released in the current time.
This is a mutation that works alongside a collection of mods that themselves aim to change the game by changing visual elements such as new models, new textures, lighting effects, and color sets, without ruining the feel of the original game too much.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
