I don't know why this issue was never solved but here we are, 7 years later and I got bored and gave it a try and sorted it out, I'd like to point out that I don't know how to animate rigs so I don't know if this will work passively with any animation mods
However, there is one pattern that does work, and it’s this
This mod replaces the following:
Dual Pistol Models - From Glock to P220
Sound - Replaced dual pistol shooting with normal pistol shooting
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
