About this mod Machine translation

The sounds are intended to match the overhauled originals on my Dual P220s TLS Remastered and TLS Animated Edition. This makes the pistol use the same sound production and still uses the sounds from L4D1 to fix the reload sound.

You can use them without the Dual P220s or Dual Glocks mod if you want, it's not an actual requirement, I'm just listing it as one to make people aware of it since it's in the screenshot.

If you're coming from a Dual P220s or Dual Glocks mod, please note that you don't actually need to use this. I just made this a separate file in case people want to use their own custom sounds and don't want to edit the mod or don't know how to use it.

I didn't upload a separate file for the glock to use the other pistol sounds (the sound the P220 turns into in the vanilla game when you pick up the glock) because I thought this was the "canonical" firing sound (the one the single pistol made in the vanilla game).

I think this is canonical because in the vanilla game the single pistol makes this sound and then when you pick it up the bell gear makes the sound, so to me this is something Valve might have chosen if they hadn't left a failed experiment in the game with dual pistol switching sounds and everything.

Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)

  1. Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
  2. Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
  3. The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
  4. A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.

In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
