About this mod Machine translation
You can download this mode even if you have survivors who are not base survivors. It does not replace any custom survivors you have installed. It will only apply the effect to each survivor you don't have the mod for.
This mod activates true damage for default survivors and is texture mode friendly. The effect is the same as you can get with the medium version of the technique in the corresponding guide (it also contains the (deactivated) version I made in the ultra-light version). This mod also serves as a demo, allowing the mod to be decompiled to see how it's done. This is the most basic effect, nothing special.
N.B: Testing this mod in a safe room or test map may cause issues. If you want to test it, walk 10 to 15 seconds out of the safe room and make sure there are no survivors shown like on the test map.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
