This is my first l4d2 map, this map only has one chapter, maybe the Fps is low because the map has too many vertices, but it's still not finished. However, this map has a long process... When I played it with my friends, they all thought it could be divided into two or even three chapters. . . .
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 custom map (.vpk)
- Custom maps ship as .vpk files too: unzip and copy the .vpk into the left4dead2/addons folder.
- Launch the game and pick the map from the Add-on Campaigns list in the main menu.
- If it does not show up, load it from the console (enable it in options first) with: map <mapname> — the name is usually in the bundled readme.
- In multiplayer, the host and every player need the same map installed.
Keep map versions in sync for multiplayer; large maps take a while to load the first time.
