There is an old plug-in in the workshop, which contains the footsteps of CS:GO in 2016. There's nothing wrong with this plugin, but I'm not satisfied with some of its design choices and want to put my own spin on it.
This add-on contains most of the latest footprint sounds in CS:GO. I say most because some of it is actually just garbage. Also, CS:GO doesn't have sounds for every type of footsteps present in L4D2 (such as flesh, cardboard, and plaster). I kept the meat and cardboard. Vanilla sounds good. But I replaced the plaster sound with rubber footsteps and it sounded great.

Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
