This mod is the core mod required for true damage effects. It contains texture and resource files that make (mostly) blood effects compatible with Survivors. It can do many things, but not one person. You need compatible survivors.
This mod is my attempt to provide the L4D2 community with something new and fresh; specifically a new update. This brand new effect provides a comprehensive and detailed guide to steaming for all modders who want to try this technology. It only takes a few minutes (or even seconds) to implement it in any survivor or infected mod and nothing else is needed except this mod. Packed with a lot of customization options, this is actually more than just a mod, it's a whole new feature for all modders to play with.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
