About this mod Machine translation
Apparently, Valve left quite a few unused color correction files in the files for the first Left 4 Dead. Some of them don't make any sense, but most of them are early versions of motion color correction!
This mod replaces the default color correction in the L4D1 campaign, whose earliest color correction was similar to an early version of Left 4 Dead from 2008... I think (don't have footage of all the maps, and some of them CC I don't know when they were made, so made some assumptions). Whether you like the way these look or not, this is what they were used to. Keep in mind that these fixes are not entirely specific to lighting on retail maps.
Install & use Install: Left 4 Dead 2 addon (.vpk)
- Nearly all Left 4 Dead 2 custom content ships as .vpk files: unzip and copy the .vpk into the game's left4dead2/addons folder.
- Create the addons folder if it does not exist; content loads automatically on launch.
- The in-game Addons menu lets you review, enable and disable what is installed.
- A few packs or tools do not follow the .vpk flow — follow the bundled readme.
In multiplayer, the host and players need the same addons installed.
