This requires rebuilding the cache, so follow the instructions below

You need to extract the sounds from the vpk and replace the default muisc file because rebuilding the audio cache with vpks does not work. The easiest way is to install the l4d2 authorization tool, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin (after installing the authorization tool) and find "vpk.exe", put my vpk (should be yours in C:\Program Files (x86)\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\ workshop), then dragged my vpk onto vpk.exe and a folder appeared. Open the folder and put all sounds into C:\Program Files (x86)\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_dlc1\sound\player\survivor\voice\mechanic (back up the folder before replacing files)! ). Once completed, Open left 4 dead 2 and type "snd_rebuildaudiocache" in the console. Once done, restart l4d2 and play the new sound without screaming.
